DEEP DOWN, HIGH UP

This moveable video sculpture, -curator and collector Louis Corrigan calls it "terrascope"-, gives an insight into a world that is normally hidden to visitors. In this case users were invited to explore in realtime an angle of 45º of a water pump room that was directly situated under the piece. Two cameras capture the explorable environment and display in a 3D like setup on two LCD screens a world that normally could not be seen easily. A white light rectangle iluminating parts of the room flatten out perspective and play with dimensions in such a way 3D and 2D shift and melt together seaminglessly.
