WEEK FOUR, 24/5/2010

"CHINGADERA DE CHINGADERAS"

I try to make things "work", because it's the right method, turning them to my advantage in order not to suffer from them...

My weekly visit to the "Tribunal Superior de Justicia" this morning  -a rather unpleasent part of my schedule- took an unexpected turn. For some reason the floor in front of this gigantic "bunker" is being scrached up and taken away. We are not talking about the classical concrete being peeled off in order to put new pipes. The specimens created are partly made of expensive marble mosaic and have a rather noble appereance.
When it struck my mind to collect some of the rotten pieces and take them to my studio, a guy I passed nearby was talking by phone saying "Que paso chingadera de chingaderas?".

These stone pieces are going to form part of an installation in my upcoming show "Corn Flake in a Fish Tank" where everything fits together.
